Ki’s Dog Training has saved us thus far! We had Ash as Coal’s trainer and cannot believe the difference she’s made to help Coal become relaxed and overcome unwanted behaviors. Prior to her training program, Coal was a very anxious dog, even to the point where he was so afraid of random household items including cardboard boxes. He also needed help with working on proper leash skills, learning how to properly acknowledge other people and dogs while in public and on walks. Ki and Ash helped us get him back on track with proper socialization skills even around kids, which he’s always been unsure of. He also came back to us with a new found skill at following a handful of new commands! We cannot thank Ash enough for all the time and effort she put into turning our Velcro 90lb dog to a happy go lucky relaxed canine. Ash also did a really great job with providing updates throughout our 4 week board and train program by informing us of what things we need to lookout for when he was back in our hands. We honestly can’t believe the difference in his personality and acts like well mannered dog now! So glad that we decided to go with Ki’s Dog Training and looking forward to all the future brewery and beach outings with our Coalsey.
FROM THE START IT WAS KNOWN OUR PUPPY WAS SCARED OF ALL HUMANS DUE TO HER SUROUNDINGS SINCE BIRTH WE ASSUMED. WE GOT WITH KI AND SHE WENT OVER A THREE WEEK INHOUSE PROGRAM WITH ONE OF HER TRAINERS SO WE ENROLLED OUR PUP IN THE PROGRAM. AFTER ABOUT TWO WEEKS WE MET SO I COULD SEE OUR PUPS PROGRESS WHICH FROM MY VANTAGE POINT WASNT MUCH. ONCE THE THREE WEEKS WERE OVER WE GOT HER HOME AND WAS GIVEN SOME THINGS TO DO WITH HER TO KIND OF CONTINUE THE TRAINING. SO WE DID THE THINGS WE WERE ASKED TO DO AND STILL TO THIS DAY SHE STILL HAS THE ISSUE THAT SHE HAD WHEN WE SENT HER TO KI'S PROGRAM. I REACHED OUT TO THE TRAINER ASKING SOME QUESTIONS AND TO SEE IF SHE MIGHT STOP BY OUR HOUSE. AT THAT TIME I WAS TOLD I GET THREE FOLLOW UP VISITS AFTER THE TRAINING WAS COMPLETED. YOU WOULD THINK THAT WOULD BE SOMETHING THAT YOUR TOLD UP FRONT AND THAT HAS BEEN THE ONLY FOLLOWUP VISIT I'VE GOTTEN AND HAVENT GOTTEN ANY PHONE CALLS ASKING HOW THINGS ARE GOING. HONESTLY A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY, WHAT PROGRESS OUR PUP HAS MADE IS FROM WHAT MY WIFE AND I HAVE DONE. IF YOUR LOOKING FOR TRAINING FOR YOUR K9 DONT CONTACT KI LOOK ELSE WHERE.

I was looking for a trainer for about a year before I found Kiley. Let me say I’m extremely grateful to have found Kiley. She has truly been patient with me and my German Shepherd. When I was first looking for a trainer I was picky as if I needed to know they had lived with the same breed I have or they have trained a lot of the same breed. I was lucky to have found her due to that fact she has her own German Shepherd and her boy was a shelter rescue. We spoke for a couple of hours over the phone and came up with a plan after I had given her my boy background and why he was the way he was. She definitely cares for all dogs she helps train and explains everything as detailed as possible for you to understand and continue with the training. I had taken up her offer for the one on one training which after 4 sessions my boy has gotten a lot better and doesn’t bark at people anymore. My boy had a hard time trusting people and he has loved having Kiley around. He looks for her and is always so exited to get his lesson started. I truly recommend her to anyone and everyone who needs help in the German shepherd world because she truly cares for them all.
Ki has been incredibly helpful. Our now 6 month old puppy lived on a farm and was outside most of the time. This caused a lot of issues with pottying outside , more so then regular puppy potty training. Our puppy would just pee whenever the urge hit and was not learning what outside meant no matter how much we tried since she formed this habit living outdoors most of the time. She was also extremely fearful and becoming reactive from not being socialized from a young age. Ki stepped in and fixed everything for us. Our puppy can now go an hour or longer between potty breaks when she was having accidents every 20 minutes. She is also extremely confident and her reactivity has practically disappeared. Ki sent us updates daily along with plenty of pictures and videos of her progress. Our puppy has learned many tricks including heel, easy walking when not in a heel, place, crate and quiet in the crate, potty training, confidence building, and overall good manners! We have already completed 1 follow up and our puppy has done a complete 180 from when we first reached out to Ki. Ki has been so kind and understanding from the consultation to now. She is always there for any questions we have. We appreciate her attention to detail and how she works on our puppies clock by making sure not to push her over threshold. We were going to do e collar training but Ki let us know this would be done at a later date to prevent our puppy from being more reactive. We were so happy to see that Ki is putting the needs of our puppy first and truly taking her time to build a confident pup. Now that our puppy has improved tremendously, we are able to slowly work on the e collar again. The board and train with Ki has been a great experience and we look forward to the rest of our follow ups with her.
My husband decided to give me a pitbull puppy last December. All this was brand new to me since I’ve never had a puppy. It seemed like everything was going well with Tank. We got past the crate training and he was house broken, but then he started counter surfing, jumping on everyone, and didn’t walk well on a leash. We decided to bring Tank to a trainer where he learned basic commands. Well, fast forward a few months and he went from a sweet baby to a very strong 55 lb pup in the “terrible two” stage, stubborn and uncontrollable. I decided he needed more training so I contacted several trainers in the area. I got one email back, one call from the receptionist to answer questions about method of training, and another offering a $150 consult. However, Kiley called me back and after talking with her for quite awhile decided to do a more in-depth video consultation the very next day. We talked about what issues I was having with Tank and what my expectations were. Kiley explained her training methods, and we decided the board and train program was the best choice. I started Tank in early November and received videos, texts and photos of his progress. Kiley informed me of his issues with being fearful of other dogs and people on his walks and his high prey drive, and what she doing to help with that. When she brought Tank home, he did lose a little weight but was more lean and muscular. She demonstrated everything he learned, we took him on a walk and he didn’t pull once! I went on vacation the next day for a week, but Kiley kept in touch with my daughter daily by text and video to make sure his training was reinforced. I am very thankful to Kiley. She is very knowledgeable and caring and truly loves what she does. While curbing Tank’s prey drive is still a work in progress, we’re already working on a plan for that. I text her whenever I have questions or concerns and she gives me advice on how to handle it. Thank you Kiley! We will see again next month 🤗
We have seen such a difference in our reactive German Shepherd since training with Ki! She has helped us better understand his body language and cues before reactivity happens. We are finally able to start having guests back over to our house and bringing our dog out to new environments without worrying so much about his reactivity. I would highly recommend Ki if you have a dog struggling with anxiety or reactivity!
Kiley is by far the best trainer we have worked with. Super knowledgeable and accommodating. Did not expect to see milestones this quickly! We started training October 3rd. One month later and I swear I have a completely different dog. Enkidu is a task trained service dog and has had separation anxiety almost all of his life. He has destroyed crates, broken teeth, chewed doors, and more. I quickly became a hostage of his behavioral issues. He could not safely be left alone. Almost 2 years after getting Enkidu, we found Kiley. Only problem? We live in Illinois. Kiley was extremely accommodating and willing to do zoom training lessons! Kiley was amazing and quickly found the best way to combat his anxiety. After working daily with Enkidu following Kiley’s homework to a T, we hit our very first major milestone. 7 hours crated alone and no damage to his crate or himself. From a dog who couldn’t even stay alone for 15 minutes, to a dog who is starting to enjoy alone time. To say I’m amazed is an understatement. I can’t wait to continue with our training. If you’re looking for a great trainer and willing to put in the work to help your dog, look no further. Ki’s K-9 Dog Training has changed both my dog’s life as well as mine for the better. Thank you Kiley!
When we first got our dog, my husband and I were very overwhelmed. She was stubborn, didn’t listen to directions, and was overall chaotic. She is the first large dog we’ve owned, and we felt like we were in over our heads. In just a few short months of working with Kiley, she is a COMPLETELY different dog. Winnie now obeys basic commands, no longer pulls during walks, and is doing extremely well with E-Collar training! Kiley knows the ins and outs of dog training. I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of dog training!
When we moved to the Virginia Beach area about 10 months ago, I searched for balance trainers in the area. As a novice trainer, I wanted to gain more knowledge, skills, and experience. After meticulously searching google, websites, reviews, and socials of a few local trainers, I found Kiley and loved what I saw. I reached out for advice and inquired about shadowing. She was and still is incredibly helpful, open to help, and gave me some incredible advise with real life experience stories to help give me an understanding of not just what it takes to be a dog trainer, but what it takes to be a business woman in a male dominated industry. I find myself in awe when I watch her work with dogs and help people communicate with their dogs. As a trainer, it is imperative to know your limitations and forthcoming about your skills, what you’re still learning, and when to say “I don’t have the skill set needed to help this dog right now, but I know someone who can.” Kiley is 100% a trainer that I would recommend if I’ve reached my limitations with a dog.
Kiley came to us after our dogs got in a huge fight a few times. She was able to train both of them to understand each other and coexist once again. If it wasn’t for Kiley we never would have been able to live our lives as normal as we do now. We recommend Kiley to anyone who has any dog issues but specifically with aggressive dogs, she does the best with those! Kiley was the best thing that ever happened to our pets in our household!
My dog Apollo and I started training with Kiley a couple of months ago. While most people probably would’ve given up on my dog, Kiley continues to go above and beyond, finding new ways to approach training when others methods don’t work. She listens to my concerns. She thoroughly explains what she’s doing during sessions, why she’s doing it, and answers any questions I have. I’d highly recommend contacting her for training, especially for behavioral issues. I didn’t think my dog’s could be resolved but we’re seeing great progress!
Kiley is an excellent trainer. I contacted her after my dogs got into a fight and I had fear that I would have to rehome one of them. I had zero hope. Kiley met with me immediately, consulted with me for a long time and gave me hope that she could help with this traumatic situation. Upon meeting Kiley, she is very professional and knowledgeable about behavior correction. Kiley has been working with both my dogs and I have seen such a positive change in their behavior. She has not only helped my dogs correct their behavior but she has also helped me become a more confident owner. She not only teaches the dogs but she also teaches the owner. She will give you homework and I promise you, if you follow her homework consistently, you will see improvement. Because of Kiley, I feel that I will never have to rehome my dog (my biggest fear). I highly recommend her to anyone who is struggling with reactive dogs, unwanted behaviors or aggression. She’s FANTASTIC.
We reached out to Kiley after talking to multiple trainers about our reactive border collie. Many of these trainers said that we would have to avoid people, dogs, and only take her out when people are not around. This was hard to hear and we started to forget the idea of having a well trained dog. Then we met Kiley, just after the first session we saw so much improvement in our dog. She began to walk by our sides instead of pulling and even ignored people when they walked by. We just had our second session and I am amazed at the progress Kiley has made. If you are looking for a trainer I recommend Kiley, not only is she amazing at what she does but she is passionate and goes above and beyond to help you and your dog reach your goals.
Kiley is nothing short of amazing! I have 3 dogs and as soon as my husband left, they all started acting up, destroying the house, and darting out the door whenever I would enter/leave the house. Within 1 session, my dogs can now go to their kennel, wait, heel on walks and listen/watch me instead of distractions! In 2 sessions, my dogs no longer dart out the door. They can sit at the door with it wide open and will sit and wait! Even with distractions! Kiley is personable and deeply cares about her clients their dogs! Kiley is super flexible and understanding! I trust her with my dogs and I’m so glad I work with her
If you’re looking for a trainer, look no further cause she is honestly a miracle worker!! My pup Nova always had issues with going outside on a leash. Taking her out was a chaotic experience filled with pulling and barking at everything that moved. BUT during our second session which was our first time training outside, Kiley had her heel on walks, kept her from getting distracted from the dogs we saw and even got her to come when called. And the best part is Nova not only did that with her but I was also able to do the same with her help. I never would have thought that would be possible but like I said she is amazing! Would definitely recommend her to anyone that has a pup both young and old, you wont regret it!
Kiley is great! I didn’t think I’d be able to handle these dogs while having a newborn but she makes the scheduling and homework possible. She is not only great with dogs but with their owners as well. Communicates clearly and always answers any questions. One of my dogs is very skittish. He was attacked and is now really scared of a lot of things, in one session she was able to get him to heel on the leash and give me homework on how to get him to watch me and not the distractions. And let me tell you walking on the leash has never been easier. I couldn’t have done it myself. With my other dog, he is pushing 90 lbs and is still a puppy, I didn’t think I could ever walk with him now that he’s that big. But she made it possible. I am so happy and this is just from one session. More to come and I can’t wait. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! She is very responsive and will help you more than you think! If I could give a thousand stars I would.
From all the trainer that I have felt with, Kiley is the only one who has really looked into Kodi’s issues. Kodi is very reactive on leash in my neighborhood with other dogs. She has taken the time to work with myself on how to handle situations and has given me the confidence to know Myself and Kodi are not to blame for his reactions. All other trainers that I have worked with either took over to show me but never watched me handle Kodi or just had me avoid other dogs. This is no fix for Kodi because I live in a circle and most times I can’t just leave. Kiley has seen the reaction and we are now in the process of figuring out what can be done next. Just to know that there is a trainer that feels my pain and know it’s not my dogs fault is a big plus for me. I know that it’s going to be a long road ahead for myself and Kodi, but just to know that Kiley isn’t giving up on Kodi gives me hope to know that one day he will at least be tolerant to other dogs in my neighborhood. Thank you for everything, even if it has only been 3 sessions, I know the best of Kodi is yet to come.
I've been working with Kylie for my dog shadow, and the homework she's been giving me as such as structured walking, heel, place, watch me and door greetings, it's been working but since he's stubborn she has been wonderful. She has told me to act more stubborn with him so he can realize hey I'm not suppose to do this. She's a great dog trainer and I appreciate everything she is doing for us. But I have seen a difference from before to now. Thanks Kylie. Can't wait for our next training session. I will definitely keep in contact with her.
Let me start by saying, if you are thinking of going with another trainer DON'T!!! Kiley is amazing! She is professional, has a great personality, answers ALL of my crazy questions, and treats our dog Mamba like he is her own. We have had only 2 sessions with Kiley and it that time she has taken him from a shy, SUPER high energy, and stubborn pup to one that listens, follows commands, can go on a structured walk (I had given up on ever walking him again), and interacts much better with his siblings (my kids). We have done e-collar training, structured walking, barriers, and commands. Her schedule is flexible and all of her product recommendations have been of great quality, price, and work! Mamba and I look forward to seeing her every week and my husband and I do our "homework" religiously and it shows! Kiley THANK YOU and see you soon!
I am SO happy I found Kiley! I recently got a puppy and was having issues with a friend's dog attacking her. We weren't sure how to fix this so we brought Kiley in to help (best decision we made). I wasn't sure what to expect and have limited experience with dog trainers so I wasn't sure what her skill level would be. After chatting for just a few minutes during our initial consultation it was clear that Kiley was very knowledgeable and skilled at what she does. The consultation was impressively thorough and at the end of the meeting I had a clear idea of what our goals were going forward. After just a few sessions the change in the older dog's behavior was incredible. I was shocked (in a good way) and so impressed. I went into training without any expectations, but it has far exceeded anything I could have hoped for. Kiley is a compassionate, knowledgeable and highly skilled trainer. Now that those issues have been curbed she is coming to work with my puppy on some obedience training. I have no doubt that she will be able to "fix" the issues, and give me the tools to do so as well. If you are in need of a dog trainer, for anything, she is your girl! You can't go wrong and you won't regret your decision.
Kiley worked wonders for my dog Bodhi and a friends puppy that he was having severe jealousy/dominance issues with. After a few sessions his behavior/demeanor towards my friends puppy had improved tremendously and they were even eating out of the same food bowl! Kiley is a gem who knows what she’s doing, sets clear intentions/goals for obedience training, and I look forward to one on one sessions between her and my dog Bodhi. Would highly recommend!
I was super concerned about getting a puppy during the pandemic, and was so glad that I was referred to Ki’s K-9 Dog Training by a close friend! Kiley is absolutely amazing with my fur baby, Maci. Despite being extremely timid, Kiley was able to quickly teach her basic commands and increase her confidence! She really met Maci where she was, which is super important to me as she develops her little quirky personality! Having her teach Maci and me these skills has been a lifesaver, and the ease of having everything done at home just made my life so much easier! If you’re looking for a trainer, I’d definitely recommend her services! She’s an amazing trainer and just an overall great person! Her love for animals is definitely evident, as is her expertise in training and behavior. Thanks, Kiley from Maci Grey and me for all of your help!!
Kiley has truly been a blessing to my household. We have two dogs who were in desperate need of training because they were so leash reactive. It was impossible for me to be able to walk both of them at the same time. We saw an immediate difference in both dogs by the end of the first session! Asher and King were able to make a dog-friend with Kiley's guidance by the fourth session! This was something I thought I would never see. She has been able to help us with resource guarding, leash reactivity, dog reactivity, barking, crate training, calm training, and nail trimming!! Our dogs were anxious messes before she came along. We didn't just want to seek help from a trainer to make our lives easier, but we wanted to make our dogs HAPPIER. I wanted my dogs to have the highest quality of life that they could, and they are definitely getting close to that all because of her! !
Kiley is so amazing and so patient when it comes to training any dog breed ! I have a rescue dog who I continue to work with and the work she has done so far is amazing. She gives us homework to do at home and makes sure she keeps in contact whenever needed! Would definitely recommend her for all your training needs !
Ki is a highly experienced trainer with over 3 years of training experience. She is a trainer that as a trainer myself, I trust and consult when I need a second opinion. She is super easy to talk to, and is extremely knowledgeable in relationship based training. She comes up with a training plan that is based on how each individual dog learns, which ensures that the dog flourishes. She truly cares about her clients and improving their relationships with their dogs.
Kiley has been such a pleasure with training my Prince! Her prices are great for the work she does and my Prince is getting so much better with his Puppy Obedience Training and next we will be moving on to Behavioral Training! She has made my first pet experience a great one in teaching me along with my Prince as well.
Kiley is an amazing trainer. I recently got a puppy and my boyfriend's dog was having a lot of issues with resource guarding and dominance. He was snarling and attacking the puppy. We brought her in to help curb those behaviors. Her consultation was thorough and she came up with a personalized program for our dogs. The difference in the dogs was palpable after only a few training sessions. Their behavior (particularly the older one's) was so much improved. They went from not interacting at all to playing with one another; and not sharing toys to playing tug of war. After a few sessions I finally felt comfortable letting the dogs be alone with one another for short amounts of time which was something I wasn't sure was possible. I went into training without any expectations, and this has far exceeded anything I could have hoped for. Kiley is a skilled, knowledgeable, compassionate trainer. She is the only person I would trust with training my dog! If you're in need of a dog trainer, enlist her help. You won't be disappointed!
Kiley with K-9 Training has been amazing with training our Nipsey. He's the first puppy we've had and Kiley was readily available to help us within the first week of him coming home! She has a way with dogs AND people to help put u at ease. I love that Kiley gets to know us and adjusts each session to our family needs. You can tell she genuinely cares for her clients and has a lot of experience. I have two daughters and Kiley takes the time to get to know them as well. She really becomes part of the family and addresses our own doggie needs!!!
I’m sooooooo happy a friend referred us to Ki’s K-9 Training. I was really concerned about training and socialization for my little fur baby, Maci Grey, especially during the pandemic. Kiley is absolutely amazing with her, and is really working to build her confidence and her feisty little personality! She’s patient and works really hard to build Maci’s trust, while also teaching both of us skills to last a lifetime! Equally as important, Kiley maintains compliance with all CDC guidelines for the virus, including mask wearing, hand washing and social distancing. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner in training for Maci!! Thanks soooo much, Kiley!! You’re the best!!
Kiley is an amazing trainer and my pit baby Kilo just ADORES and LOVES her. He always lights up when he sees her lol. She is very informative and consistent. The homework she gives us helps out so much. Kilo’s behavior changed within the first week of training, it was huge progress. He had some issues with jumping on people and pulling while walking, now people can come into the house without him jumping and walks are a breeze! I can’t wait until we start training on his resource guarding I know she’s going to help out a big deal with that. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone with a fur baby 🙂. She is awesome!
Ki is the sweetest person I have ever met! I took the route to try to train my own dog to save some money but she still checks with Onyx’s progress every now and then. She’s super knowledgeable and experienced. She recommends training materials and tips for Onyx and he’s doing very well. I’m so happy to have found her 🙌🏾 Need a dog trainer? Ki’s K-9 Training is the best! 10/10 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Kiley is an amazing trainer. She’s been working with my Pit Bull Kilo for about two weeks now and there’s so much improvement, within the first two sessions his behavior changed for the better. Kilo just adores her lol she is so kind yet firm with him, he respects her so much. My entire family loves her and can see the improvement in Kilo. We are all very impressed: I would recommend her to any and everyone. She is just that amazing!
I just want to say thank you for being such an amazing trainer!!!! Polo has been an amazing puppy thanks to your help!! No more pooping and peeing in the house and we experience minimal crying when it’s time for him to go in his crate. Your teaching style and allowing my daughter to be your assistant so we learn the proper commands have helped me tremendously! Working with you these last few weeks have beers have been a joy and I look forward to Polo’s complete transformation!!
Kiley has worked with my 7 month old Shepard pit only a handful of times but the alertness and confidence in him has gone way up. Always positive and ready to deal with him the way that works best for him. Super stoked to have her in our lives !
Kiley did some agility and recall training with our 2-year-old Frenchie. She did a wonderful job getting him to focus and listen to her directions. She even took into consideration his breed, which can have breathing problems, and knew not to overwork him. We were very pleased with Kiley’s work and are looking forward to seeing the positive changes she instills in our pup!
We love our Akita but wanted to be proactive in addressing getting her social skills better. Bringing Kiley in as a professional trainer was the best decision! Misty bonded with her and in a very short time already learned some important skills. I feel 100% confident we will get the results we need. Thank you Kiley!
Kiley was an outstanding trainer with my dog!! We had a German Shepard Dog named Sable that had many issues, including separation anxiety, as well as aggression. Kiley met with Sable for a consultation to assess Sable’s issues. We were amazed at how Kiley bonded with Sable and got to work right away. She would take Sable around other dogs slowly until she was more comfortable and less aggressive, until Sable could finally be amongst a group of dogs and get along and play together without aggression. It was great to see such a positive transition from the training. Kiley was also able to break Sable of her separation anxiety with careful and positive training, which led to an end of destructive behavior. Now Sable is such a wonderful and obedient family member. We would highly recommend Kiley as a trainer for your fur babies!
Kiley did AMAZING. Dealt with my crazy dog and did wonderfully. She took great care of ivy and did everything I asked for and more. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!
Kiley was great in communicating with me. She kept me informed and was able to get back to me immediately. Most importantly, she and Gaige bonded pretty well.
Kiley was awesome with the pups and she was very flexible. Thanks so much!
Kiley kept me in the loop the entire time and made my girl super comfortable. Thank you Kiley!
Thank you so much for giving Finnegan (the cat) some love and putting my package on the counter. Lili is a happy pup!
